End of Birthday Weekend

Hello!

So today I'm showing my last card that I gave this past weekend to my friend Netty.  As I said yesterday, the last weekend of September has come to be known as Birthday Weekend, as 3 of my friends' birthdays are 3 days in a row.  It's easier for the rest of us friends to celebrate with one big party together.

I stayed with the theme I had going with the other 2 cards, and made this little piggy all glittery.  The inside of the card says " go hog wild".  It fits my friend perfectly as she loves to be a little wild and crazy!

Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Weekend

Hello!
I hope you had a great weekend and made it through another Monday.  I had a great weekend, celebrating birthdays for 3 wonderful friends.  Their birthdays are 3 days in a row, September 24, 25, and 26.  We have been celebrating together for a couple of years now, and it has come to be known as BIRTHDAY WEEKEND.  So, of course I had 3 cards to make.  I showed Joanie's card last week, the one with a glittery cupcake.  Today's card was for Shana, and here it is:

The card uses Vicki's sketch from her challenge on Stamptv.  I love this little fairy, and it's hard to tell in the picture, but her wings are all glittery.  I have 1 more card from birthday weekend to show, hopefully in the next day or two.

Thanks for stopping by!

CPS 185

Good evening!

My card tonight is a birthday card for a great friend whose birthday is this weekend.  The layout is from CPS 185.

As soon as I saw the sketch, I knew I wanted to use one of the multi-patterned papers from the Basic Grey pads.  This one is from the lemonade pad.  I just followed the lines between each pattern to cut the paper apart and spaced the strips on some apple green cardstock.  Simple as pie!  The cupcake frosting is all sprinkley with glitter, yum!  Stamps, cardstocks, and ribbon are from Gina K Designs.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of You

Hello!

Today I have a card I made for my brother-in-law's birthday which is later in the month.  I CASEd the main image/scene from a card Theresa Momber made here.  Theresa has great tutorial pictures on her blog for sponging and coloring images.

I used Theresa's set from GKD called Life is Good.  This set is special to me because it was the set I was assigned when I was one of StampTV's Centerstage Designers.  The leaves on the background are from the StampTV kit Signs of Autumn.

Golf Birthday

Good evening!

Wow, I can't believe it has been over a week since I posted anything.  It's a busy time of year with sports practices starting, and getting ready for school.  Here in upstate New York the kiddies don't go back to school until after Labor Day, so we still have time to get ready yet.

Tonight I am showing a card I made for my youngest brother's birthday.  He is in the Navy and stationed in Virginia, and loves to golf as well as play rugby, softball and run.  Good thing he's stationed stateside now, lol

The golf bag and clubs are from King of the Grill and the sentiment is from Happy Camper, both from GKD.  I paper pieced parts of the bags with dp from Basic Grey's Oliver, and also used the dp on the background panels.  The clubs and other parts of the bag were colored with markers.

Have a great night, and thanks for visiting!

Froggy Birthday

Hello!

Tonight I am showing a card I made for this weeks color challenge over on Stamptv found here.  The challenge was to use pink, blue and green.

I chose this cute frog from Melanie Muenchinger's set Just so Hoppy.  I stamped and colored him with markers, then clear embossed over him and the water splash before sponging in the pinky rose color.  The sentiment is in green embossing powder over my blue cardstock which was embossed with a cuttlebug folder.  The Dp is Basic Grey.  All cardstock ( white, creme de menthe, and little boy blue) and ribbon is Pure Luxury from GKD.I've had those frog eyelets in my stash forever and this is the first time I've used them.

I like these colors, and often use 2 of them at a time, but I did find it harder to use all 3 of them at once :)
