Jolinne

Happy Monday!  ( I guess that could really be an oxymoron, right, lol)

I received this cute little My Favorite Things set from my secret sister, it's called Birthday Balloon Jolinne, and I just love it becaues she lookes like my youngest daughter when she was about 5 years old.  Kate had this long red wavy hair that seemed almost bigger than she was.  At 16 years old, she still has all that hair but straightens it everyday so it doesn't look so big.

Anyway, this is the card I made with her, using this week's sketch from the MFT forum at SCS:

I paper pieced her outfit and shoes, and balloons with Dp from Basic Grey ( I think from the lemonade pack).  The othe Dp's are from DCWV
, and cardstock is SU pacific point and PL white.  I colored her hair and skin with SU markers.

Sweet Baby!

Hello!

My card today is fro this week's StampTV sketch challenge:

I'm also submitting this for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge to use paper piecing on the card.

The cardstock, Dp, image and sentiment are all from GKD.

Thanks for stopping by!

( By the way, I seem to be having some difficulty getting my picture to show, so if you can't see it, click on the little white spot where the picture should be, and I think it will pop up, sorry.)

A Metal Challenge

Hello!  I hope you are enjoying your Friday afternoon.  I was sooo happy to see this work week come to an end.  Between last weekend's time change and the full moon coming up tomorrow night, the resident's at the nursing home were wound, lol.

Anyway, last night was the big 2 year anniversary release party over at StampTV. One of the challenges was to use metal somewhere in the design of the card.

I was so inspired by all the pretty samples from the new and free Celebrate with Style anniversary set, that I got out this lovely dress and sentiment from an older set called Retro Boutique.  The metal on my card is the little flower charm anchoring the sentiment banner.  The charm came from a set that was a gift from my CSS secret sister :)
Head on over to StampTV this weekend for some chances at winning some free stamps!
