Cracked Glass

Hello!

I have another card for the countdown challenge over at StampTV.  This is the cracked glass technique.

This is what happens when you are not very neat with your embossing powders.  Apparently some black got mixed in with the clear, lol.  I actually like the look for this particular card, it gives the circle a more grungy look I think.  I also rubbed Memento black ink over it after I cracked it.  This butterfly is from GKD Hope is Faith set.  Cardstock is SU and GKD.  The dp is a gift from my CSS secret sister, so I don't know what brand it is, but it sure is pretty!

Thanks for stopping by and have a happy new year!!

I'm baaaack!

Hello!  I hope everyone had a great Christmas and getting ready for the new year!  I finally did some stamping last night.  I haven't done any since before Christmas, just had too many other things to do.  So, over at StampTV, Gina is doing a countdown of this year's top 10 videos, and we can make cards with those techniques and be entered into a drawing for the next StampTV kit coming out in January.  Isn't that great?!  So, I made a split negative card:

I used stamps from the spring mix kit and the sentiment is from lovely labels 2.  The black panel is embossed with CB folder swiss dots.  Cardstock and ribbon is from GKD.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope to have some more cards made over the next few days!

Merry Christmas!

Good morning on this Christmas Eve!!  I haven't been blogging much due to all the Chistmas preparations, but plan to remedy that next week when hopefully I will get back into some stamping.

I hope everyone has a very merry, safe and fun Christmas holiday, spending time with those you love!

CSS Sketch Hop

Hello and welcome to another StampTV CSS blog hop.  If you came from Miesje's blog, you're right on track.  If not, start back at StampTV so you don't miss anything.

Tonight's hop is based on this sketch from Melissa Cash:

Here is my card:

I flipped the sketch onto it's side to accomodate my image, which is from the GKD set Snow Much Fun, and the sentiment is from Seasonal Sayings.  The Dp is from Basic Grey.  And do you see those cute little photo turns and brads?  They were a gift from my CSS secret sister!
Now head on over to Sharri's blog to see her take on this fun sketch.
Thanks for stopping by!

GKD Release Challenges

Hello, and happy Saturday!

I have been busy today working on the challenges from the GKD release party on Thursday.
The first one is Carolina's challenge to make a set of 4 tags:

My next one is for Tina's challenge to make a card with 12 embellishments-- I used 12 pearls:

And the third challenge was from Jennie to make a gift, so I made this desk calendar which I saw a while back on Vicki's blog:

You Rock!

Hello!
Tonight I have a Congratulations card that I am using for a couple of challenges:
Card Creations: Favorite Occasions Congratulations Challenge in the Moxie Fab World and Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge to make a card for congrats or encouragement.

Cardstock, stamps and ribbon are from Gina K Designs.  DP is from Basic Grey.

Now for a little bragging:  I really made this card for my son,( it just happened to fulfill a couple of challenges.)  He really does rock, because tonight he was inducted into National Honor Society!
He is the boy in the middle in the front row.
Thanks for stopping by!
