Cracked Glass

Hello!

I have another card for the countdown challenge over at StampTV.  This is the cracked glass technique.

This is what happens when you are not very neat with your embossing powders.  Apparently some black got mixed in with the clear, lol.  I actually like the look for this particular card, it gives the circle a more grungy look I think.  I also rubbed Memento black ink over it after I cracked it.  This butterfly is from GKD Hope is Faith set.  Cardstock is SU and GKD.  The dp is a gift from my CSS secret sister, so I don't know what brand it is, but it sure is pretty!

Thanks for stopping by and have a happy new year!!

I'm baaaack!

Hello!  I hope everyone had a great Christmas and getting ready for the new year!  I finally did some stamping last night.  I haven't done any since before Christmas, just had too many other things to do.  So, over at StampTV, Gina is doing a countdown of this year's top 10 videos, and we can make cards with those techniques and be entered into a drawing for the next StampTV kit coming out in January.  Isn't that great?!  So, I made a split negative card:

I used stamps from the spring mix kit and the sentiment is from lovely labels 2.  The black panel is embossed with CB folder swiss dots.  Cardstock and ribbon is from GKD.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope to have some more cards made over the next few days!

My inspiration for this card was the colors and candy, it's probably pretty obvious, lol.  I used the Sweetest Blessings set from GKD.  Cardstock is also from GKD, and paper is Jolly by Golly from Cosmo Cricket.  I used my white pen to add dots, and pink stickles to make my cupcake glittery.

Merry and Bright

Hello!
Tonight I have a card I made using the new spotlight sketch over at StampTV.  Gina will now be showing videos for sketch and color challenges each week in addition to her regular Wednesday STV kit videos.
Here is the sketch

and here is my take on it:

The gingerbread house is from Holiday Cheer and the sentiment is from Holiday Hospitality, both from GKD.  Do you like my sentiment tags?  They are die cut using an oval, and 2 of the Fancy Tags nesties.  I just trimmed the bottom layer ( which was the large rectangle with flourish edges) to fit better around the middle layer.  I really like the look, and will probably use it a lot more.

Thanks for visiting!

Recipe:
Stamps:  Holiday Cheer, Holiday Hospitality GKD
Ink: Moment Black, SU markers, Vivid Aquq
Paper:  Cardstock from GKD and SU, paper Cosmo Cricket
Other:  buttons GKD, nesties

Wine and Gold

Hello!

Wow!  3 days in a row for me to post, I've been on a card making spree this week, lol!
Today I have a card for the color challenge at StampTv to use wine, gold, and ivory.

I used the set Tea Time from GKD for the image and sentiment.  The background was made with an old SU stamp that I've had for quite a few years now.  Glad I held on to it, hehe.  I stamped the swirls in burgundy then colored the hearts in with a ziggy gold pen.  The teapot and sentiment are both heat embossed in gold.

Thanks for visiting!

Recipe:
Stamps Tea Time from GKD, Soft Swirls from SU
Ink:  Versamark, SU burgundy
Paper:  GKD Wine and Ivory
Other:  nesties, gold EP, gold ziggy pen, Ribbon, flower, and brad from stash

Pumpkins!

Hello!

Today I have a card for the sketch challenge over at Stamp TV.  It was a simple sketch, but I found myself wanting to keep adding stuff to it, lol.

The pumpkins are from the Signs of Autumn set at GKD.  I added the ribbon and button, then decided the border needed the pearls, then felt the scalloped rectangle edge needed some piercing.  One thin I didn't add is a sentiment, because I'm not sure what I want to use the card for yet.

Thanks for visiting!
Recipe:
Stamps:  Signs of Autumn from GKD
Ink:  Momento black, SU markers
Paper:  Cardstock from GKD and SU
Other:  Ribbon, button, twine, pearls from stash, border punch from SU, nesties

Trigger Tuesday- Sweater

Hello and happy Saturday!

I decided to play in the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger Challenge this week.  The trigger is this lovely sweater:

When I do inspiration challenges, I am usually pretty literal with the image and the same goes for this one.

I used the set Warm and Wonderful from Gina K Designs for the sweater and sentiment.  I used my circle nesties to cut out the circles to mimic the yellow trim in the sweater.

Thanks for stopping by!

Recipe:\
Stamps:  Warm and Wonderful GKD
Ink:  versamark, SU
Paper:  Kraft and white cardstock from GKD, yellow from SU, Dp Basic Grey Jovial
