Birthday Weekend

Hello!
I hope you had a great weekend and made it through another Monday.  I had a great weekend, celebrating birthdays for 3 wonderful friends.  Their birthdays are 3 days in a row, September 24, 25, and 26.  We have been celebrating together for a couple of years now, and it has come to be known as BIRTHDAY WEEKEND.  So, of course I had 3 cards to make.  I showed Joanie's card last week, the one with a glittery cupcake.  Today's card was for Shana, and here it is:

The card uses Vicki's sketch from her challenge on Stamptv.  I love this little fairy, and it's hard to tell in the picture, but her wings are all glittery.  I have 1 more card from birthday weekend to show, hopefully in the next day or two.

Thanks for stopping by!

Color and Sketch

Hello!

Today's card is for Janice's color challenge at Stamptv to use red, green, brown, and ivory and for the sketch at Card Patterns, CP 82.  As soon as I saw the colors for Janice's challenge I thought of Christmas.  So I used one of my favorite Gina K sets, Warm and Cozy Christmas.  Using the sketch, the card actually came together pretty quickly, and even the way I initially pictured it in my head, hehe. ( Doesn't always happen that way.)
Thanks for visiting!

CPS 184

Hello!

Today's card is made with this weeks sketch over at Card Positioning Systems, CPS 184.

I went for a CAS type card with lots of white space.  I love the crisp look it gives to cards.  After stamping and coloring the sailboat, it was cut out with a nesties labels die.  With the die still in place, I sponged with the Pacific Point ink.  When the die is removed, it leaves a nice white border, which I then colored with a yellow marker.  An easy way to get that layered look with small borders!

Thanks for visiting!

Hey Ghoulfriend!

Happy Sunday!

Today's card is for the sketch challenge over at StampTv stvsketchvd1.  Vikki gave 2 sketches this week, 1 for a CAS card and one for a card with all the frills.  I think mine falls somewhere in between, lol.

I have been making so many cards with fall colors lately, that I was really itching to make something bright, and what's brighter than Pure Luxury Bubblegum Pink?  And I love this funky Dp from Basic Grey.

Thanks for visiting!
