Trigger Tuesday- Sweater

Hello and happy Saturday!

I decided to play in the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger Challenge this week.  The trigger is this lovely sweater:

When I do inspiration challenges, I am usually pretty literal with the image and the same goes for this one.

I used the set Warm and Wonderful from Gina K Designs for the sweater and sentiment.  I used my circle nesties to cut out the circles to mimic the yellow trim in the sweater.

Thanks for stopping by!

Ink:  versamark, SU

A Pray for You Card

Hello!

Wow, I can't believe it's been over a week since I posted anything.  That darn life stuff just gets in the way, lol.  Well, I did manage to make this card last night for this weeks Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge.  The challenge is to make a card that features prayer.

I made a simple praying for you card using an image from You Are Not Alone, and a sentiment from Fanciful Tags, both from Gina K Designs.  All stamps, cardstock and ribbon from GKD, paper from Basic Grey, and markers for the image from SU.

Thanks for stopping by!

SSIC 60

Hello!

I have a card today for the Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge.  The verse this week is: 1 Timothy 4:4 "For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving..."  and the challenge is to make a thank you card.

I used the GKD stamp set Hope is Faith.  The butterfly is stamped in chocolate chip onto Basic Grey paper, colored with markers and cut out.  It is hard to see, but the pink circle is embossed with the divine swirls folder.  All the panels are Basic Grey papers from the Olivia pack, and matted on PL Chocolate Kiss cardstock.  The sentiment is from GKD Spring Mix.

The sketch is from this week's challenge over at StampTV.

Thanks for stopping by!

What's Brewing?

Hello!

Tonight's card is made with the new set from Gina K Designs called Tea Time.  I don't drink coffee, never acquired a taste for it, but I do love tea, both hot and iced, yum!  So I was excited when I first saw this set, and knew it was a must have!

This colors of the card come from the color challenge at Stamptv: kraft, green, and 2 blues.  I used SU Pacific Point to stamp the label and sentiment.  The tea cups were stamped in versamark and embossed with gold, then colored with bashful blue and green galore, cut out and popped up on the label.  This was layered on pacific point CS, then PL Creme de Menthe, with a base of PL Kraft.  That ribbon came in a box from my Mom's and the packaging looked like it may have been from 1970 something.  I liked the lighter color blue and gold swirls to match the tea cups.

Funny Farm

Welcome to the Gina K designs blog hop for the new set Funny Farm.  I love this set, the images are just so darn cute!!

I stamped the farm scene and sentiment on moonlit fog cardstock with navy ink.  That adorable cow and farmboy were stamped on white, colored, cut out and popped up on the card.  It was then layered on an In the Navy panel, then on a white base.  I just love the look on that cow's face! :)

SSIC # 59

Hello!

Today I have a card for the Stamping Sisters in Christ  challenge.  This is my first time participating in this challenge, and I really enjoyed it.  The verse for the week was Genesis 1:1, In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.  The challenge was to make a card with anything pertaining to nature.

I chose water as my theme of nature, since it is so absolutely necessary to have to live, and we should be so grateful to God for providing us with so many ways to obtain it, and we should be thankful for having safe drinking water available to us.

Thanks for stopping by!

It's That Time Again

Hello!

Yep, it's that time to start thinking about Christmas.  I'm not one to start shopping early or anything, I just had the urge to make a Christmas card, so I pulled out one of my Favorite Christmas sets, Festive Frame, from GKD, illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger.

I stamped the frame image on ivory cardstock in versmark and heat embossed in black.  I colored the image and border with my SU markers, and stamped the verse in the open area.  I trimmed leaving a small ivory border, and placed it on a wine cardstock base.  To finish it off, I added some self adhesive pearls to the flower centers.  This is a great way to make a multi-looking layered card out of just 2 layers of cardstock!

Thanks for stopping by!

Something New

Hello!

I just received my order of new stamps from Gina K Designs today and had to play right away!  Which is so easy to do now with their pre-cut stamps!  I opened my new package of Lovely Labels 2 and got right to work.

I used this week's Card Patterns sketch for inspiration, along with this week's color challenge at Stamptv to use brown, orange/pumpkin, navy and gray.  This card was simple to make, and would be easy to make a set of them for a gift.

Thanks for visiting!

3 Cards

Happy Saturday and happy World Card Making Day!

Today I have 3 cards I made for challenges from the Gina K Designs release this past week.
The first is for Jessica's challenge to make a note card starting with a 1/4 sheet of cardstock and folding it in half for the base,

I used scraps that were just sitting on may desk from previous projects.  These little cards are quick and easy, and a great way to use up scraps!
My 2nd card is for Cat's recipe challenge, 1 layer, no DP, at least 3 blings, and 2 rounded corners.

I used 2 techniques that Gina has shown on her Stamptv videos, using nesties to emboss a frame, and scor pal to emboss a background, both pretty easy.  You can just see my tiny little blings in the corners of the frame.
My final card is for Lee's challenge to use an image to make a background, then another image from the same set for the focal point.

I used a nesties scalloped circle around my image, but thought it was to "pretty" looking for a halloween card, so I trimmed each scallop to a point, much "scarier", lol.
I hope you can get some crafting in today.  I won't be able to as a bunch of my friends are taking a road trip for a girl's day out, lots of fun!!!
Thanks for visiting!
